Solana- Virginia, Maryland, Washington DC newborn Photography

SHE IS HERE!!! My third little girl was born April 15th, 2009 at 2:21pm! She weighed 7.3 pounds and was 19 1/4 inches long! Of course…her is here blog debut! She is beautiful and perfect in every way! Thank you for all the well wishes and congrats!

Newborn Fun- Virginia, Maryland, Washington DC newborn photographer

As I sit here waiting on princess #3…I thought I would give the same treatment to my newborns and post lots of the little cutie pies I’ve been holding on too in the blog folder. Aren’t they all sooooo cute!!!!
It’s amazing what a short time this period last. Clients send me photos of them just a few weeks later and they have changed already!!

Maternity Portrait Showdown! - Virginia, Maryland, DC pregnancy photographer.

Since I’m still pregnant…I thought it would be fun to post all the maternity images I’ve been holding in my “blog” folder to post and haven’t! Here they are!! I salute you all as I sit here with a backache, swollen fingers and a chin that is expanding with water weight by the hour it feels like! :) If you haven’t been back for your newborn session, I hope they are doing wonderful and motherhood is bringing nothing but joy to you!!! (and maybe a few sleepless nights!!)

For anyone thinking about booking a session…I am still booking for the next two weeks and will still be holding newborn sessions even right after mine! They don’t wait!!! :) All maternity sessions will continue again in 3 weeks and everything else in 4 weeks. I’m booking FAST for end of April and May already!

My oldest Mahala had a cheerleading event last month in Baltimore maryland so we stayed overnight. I just love sleeping shots of my girls!!!! Maybe thats just a mom thing :)

So I’m VERY late getting these posted! My first baby turned 7 on Nov 20th. WOW. How can I have a 7 year old….it seems like she was just born. I know everyone says that but it’s so true! I’ve watched every moment of her life, every smile, every booboo, first days of school… and yet it seems like it all happened in the blink of an eye! Not 7 years!! I guess tomorrow she is will be driving and setting up her first dorm room. I just want to hold her so tight and long and pray she stops growing so fast!

To Canada I go! Virginia Maryland Washington DC Photographer

January 30, 2009 – 6:35 am

So I decided to take a trip to Canada to see a good friend and fellow photographer Alicia Price two weeks ago. I’m so glad I did!! I had an amazing time and got to see a beautiful part of Canada….and the Rockies!!! It was so much fun! The flight wasn’t bad and I managed to get there with only a 2 hour delay! I’ve decided I’m a “bad luck” flyer, I never get ANYWHERE on time! I guess that isn’t just flying though! :)

We took a day trip out to Dorothy Canada which is a very cool little ghost town. Check the link to read about it!!! There the amazing Alicia Price and another photog friend Wei spent the afternoon capturing maternity shots of…me! I’m so thankful to both of them for their stunning work!! I will treasure them forever!

On the way to Dorothy though, we stopped and had a break for pics at the Hoodoos See those pics below! So neat!!!!

After dinner with a group of Canada photographers…we hit the road the next morning for a trip to Banff Canada. I would love to have spent more time there!!! BEAUTIFUL!!!!! Wow….

and here are two of me in Banff. I LOVE these!! Alicia had to snap fast because I couldn’t stop laughing (and shaking from the cold) at her laying on her side in about 15 inches of snow. When you stepped, you just sank to your knees…she was laying down!!! I kept waiting for her to disappear and just see a hand and camera sticking up from the snow!!
